New music - "On A Rising Wind" - released

My longest composition so far.  I have been volunteering with the National Park Service doing some raptor monitoring, and have had flight on my mind a lot lately.  I think some of the musical themes in "On A Rising Wind" reflect that.

The track photo is a composite of two of my photos with an falcon in the foreground and some nice scenery in Rocky Mountain National Park in the background.

"Sky Poem" released

I just released "Sky Poem" - it is already on CDBaby and should appear with the rest of my released music on iTunes/Apple Music shortly.

"Sky Poem" is a tribute to the big skies over the Front Range of Colorado's Rocky Mountains and features big horns and strings, big percussion, and a sweeping, majestic feel.

I have also produced a video to go along with the music that includes time-lapse photography of some amazing skies over Lyons, Colorado:

Two additional compositions released to iTunes and CDBaby

Compositions titled "Susquehanna" and "Flying Cloud" are now also released to iTunes and CDBaby.  "Susquehanna" is a piano-centric piece that imagines the development of a river from a small quiet seep in some remote hillside, gaining power and strength as it flows, until it finally dissipates into the sea.  And "Flying Cloud" is a straight-ahead bluegrass arrangement that reminds me of the rolling motion of a sailing vessel.

You can preview them by going to the Music page.
